Moongdal cheela recipe 

 A tasty and nourishing Indian pancake, moong Dal Cheela is created from split green grams, or moong dal. 


This dish is a favorite for breakfast or a light lunch because of its high protein content. After being soaked, the dal is ground into a smooth batter and seasoned with cumin, ginger, and green chilies.

Ingredients for Moong Dal Cheela


1. One cup of yellow moong dal, steeped for      four to five hours
 
2. A pinch of asafoetida (hing) - One green       chile - Salt to taste
 
3. Half a teaspoon of cumin seeds
 
4. 1/4 cup of coriander, chopped
 
5. Cooking oil.

Procedure:

 1. Make a smooth batter by blending soaked moong dal and green chili. If necessary, add water.
 
2. Add the coriander, cumin seeds, salt, and asafoetida.
 
3. Pour a ladle of batter into a nonstick pan that has been heated and gently oiled. Make a narrow circle out of it.
 
4. Cook until both sides are browned.
 
5. Serve with yogurt or mint chutney.
